It's a handsome coffee mug with a colorful portrait of Henry the VIII. On either side of Henry are smaller portraits of his six wives.

Now, if you know any history at ALL, you know that Henry VIII wasn't the most stable husband in English history. He divorced two of his wives, one died, and one survived him. Oh, and Henry had his other two wives beheaded.

So what does all this have to do with the mug? This amazing vessel actually recreates Henry's marital woes. When you pour hot water into it...
THE SIX WIVES DISAPPEAR

When we took the mug out of its attractive gift box, we were skeptical. We couldn't imagine that the images of the wives would actually vanish. But as soon as we poured in hot coffee, the images began to fade until they were completely gone.

How do they do it? We have no idea. But this is the kind of weird item that justifies Stupid.com's sad existence.
