Do you know why people say "God bless you!" when you sneeze? It's a custom that dates back to a little Polynesian island called Panoi-Panoi. (which means "Isle of Repetition") The people of this tropical paradise believed that sneezes angered the gods. 

Mere superstition? Perhaps. 

But one day, a cargo ship carrying 26 tons of freshly ground pepper crashed into the island. This created such a sneezing fit among the islanders, that it awakened a long-dormant volcano. The entire Panoi-Panoi culture  was destroyed, and now the island is a Club Med.
